The Kestrel Inn Contents Lotted for Auction Preparing for a New Chapter

Popular south Dublin pub has appointed Wilsons Auctions to sell the remaining contents by public auction.

The Kestrel Inn was a music hotspot regularly hosting live music events and also popular among locals for their carvery Sunday lunch.

Due to the approval of development for 42 apartments, 3 retail units and new pub at the Walkinstown roundabout, the Kestrel Inn building will be demolished. The closure is no shock as plans have been in the works since 2021 to repurpose the space.

The pub celebrated its last orders on Friday 31st May.

There are over 180 lots included in the auction offering members of the public to bid and buy a large array of catering and restaurant equipment. The catalogue features everything from the entire kitchen to barrels, tables, sofas, the entire round bar, a superleague pool table, empty decoration bottles, and even the doors of the toilets.

Presented in a timed online format, the auction will go live at 10am on Friday 5th July. Registered bidders will have a lengthy period over the weekend to bid on their desired assets before Lots will begin to timeout from 10am on Monday 8th July.

The auction is being managed by Wilsons Auctions Dublin but all assets are located offsite at The Kestrel Inn, 157 Walkinstown Road.

Bidders are welcome to view the assets prior to the auction ending. This is strictly by appointment only on Friday 5th July from 10am to 12noon. To book in your viewing, please contact Elizabeth Ashe on 014642800 or by emailing elizabethashe@wilsonsauctions.com.
